Thursday's Total Body -- HIIT Mash Up

Today's workout has something for everyone.

From jessicasmithtv, this workout includes kickboxing, sculpting, HIIT, cardio, Pilates, toning, and fat burning.  It is one hour long.  You will need a set of weights, a mat and two paper plates if on a carpet or two small towels or wash cloths if you are on a regular floor for sliding.

A warm up and cool down are both included.

Wednesday's Wild/Warrior Workout -- Box and Burn Jump Rope Workout

It's been a while since I posted a longer workout--this one is about 54  minutes long.  It comes from RealFitTv.

It combines upper body kickboxing moves with pushups, bicycle crunches and jump rope segments.  It can be done with or without light weights (no more than 3 lbs.). If you are new to kickboxing, leave the weights out of it.  If you don't have a jump rope, just do the jumping and pretend to turn the rope.

A warm and cool down are both provided.

Thursday's Total Body/Cardio -- Cardio Dance Sculpt

Happy Thursday!  Today's workout comes from jessicasmithtv.  It is entitled Cardio Dance Sculpt. The great thing about dancing, at least to me, is that it doesn't feel like exercise.  I just read a post from a fitness group I follow and it said this:  "Exercise is like telling your body, "you're gonna hate me for this, but you'll thank me later."  I don't necessarily agree with that.  Exercise doesn't have to be torture.

This is a low impact, total body workout.  Because it's not done at super high intensity, it is a longer workout--about an hour.  This kind of workout is great to do in combination with shorter, higher intensity workouts on alternate days.

She does the entire thing barefoot.  It's up to you if you want to wear shoes or not.

You will need some light weights or water bottles and a chair.  She does a warm up and cool down.

Don't worry if you're not a natural dancer--Dance Like No One's Watching!!!

Wednesday's Wild/Warrior Workout - 40 Minute Bodyweight HIIT

Today's workout comes from a new channel I found on YouTube called Cyclone Fit TV.

It is a 40 minute HIIT routine that only uses your bodyweight for resistance.  If you are on a floor have some washcloths or small towels handy, if you are on a carpet, 2 paper plates will work.

The workout consists of 20 exercises that are performed for 50 seconds with 10 seconds rest and then repeated one more time before moving onto the next exercise.

There is no warm up included, it's very important to do that on your own first.  There isn't a cool down or stretch either, PLEASE do those, they are very important as well.

This is an intense workout, do what you can at your own pace and level.  Pause to rest more if you need to.  Have your water right next to you so you can take sips during some of the 10 second rest periods.
